Thanks VV, I have looked at this on several occasions and I have to admit it is very nice looking. I also have my eye on this one from their custom shop.

Are you thinking of signing up to find all those extremists, that's a tactical gun. Do you have a specific purpose for the gun?
BTW, that's a good looker.

No I'm not that kind of person I like this only because it looks good. lol There enough of them out there already(extremist hunters). Have you looked at the S&W Nightguard? It's a pretty piece.

I am still hung up on the Kimbers! I like the CDP II adn the Ultra II series. I have had 1911's from $150 on up and I always come back to my Kimbers because the recoil is manageable and they are dependable!!
Each to their own and that is why they make several different brands because everyonne will not like the exact same thing!!

It will either be a Kimber or a Springfield, but I maybe leaning to one of Kimbers Custom shop jobs, most likely a 5"er.

Never heard anyone bought a Kimber and had buyer's remorse! I have three now and love them all. All different and used for different purposes but all shoot smooth and gentle. Nice feeling and very powerful!!!

Check out the model you want and let me get you a price on it before you get ripped off!! Not saying the folks yu deal with up there are not honest and fair but never hurts to know what one will run you before you go price it in your gin store. Knowledge is power. If you can save a buck, I say save it and buy more ammo!!! JMHO!!

I'm a Kimber guy too, I've got two and both of them were perfect right out of the box. My Ultra CDP with the C.T. laser grips is just a perfect CC gun. I've got two holsters for it so that I can appendix carry along with the more conventional 3:30.
I do recommend that the factory recoil springs be switched out with replacements from Wolff.

I usually buy on Gun Broker I do nut buy at the gun shops up here They are on the High end, and I have to pay 7% sales tax. I put an average auction after the post. for the Super Carry they are all just about $1260. Take a look at the whole aution page, they are pretty articulate.
VV I have read that on some of the other handgun forums. So I will change springs. So tell me what you think about this price, now be it known I like the Super Carry but I also like the Raptor and the Tactical. Like I said, I'm like a kid in a candy store as far as it comes to these pieces.\ and thanks guys for looking out for me, I appreciate it very much.

UF,
I've looked at a lot of guns at "Gun Broker" in the past but it's an auction, I never get to see what they sell for so I can't really give you an intelligent opinion but, what the hell I'll go for it anyway. I'd say it's a fair price based on todays market.

HOWEVER, I'm sure that AO will come along soon with a more informed opinion. But, if I was trying to buy that specific gun I'd wait awhile. The market is getting flooded with them because people are just drawn to them, so am I as far as that goes. But all the other gun builders are about to reveal their 2011 line ups at the SHOT show, I think it's in Feb., and when that happens many "Super Carry" owners will be trying to liquidate assets so they can buy the latest and greatest new handgun. When that happens you should be able to pick up a nice used one for a few hundred bucks cheaper. It's all up to you though because I only buy new guns, I can't spend over $1,000 based on what some guy is telling me about a gun he needs to sell.

VV I know sometimes it's a crap shoot with some of them sellers, but what is good about it is you can review their dealings on their feedback. I would not buy from some guys with an NR rating, some of these guys are pretty big dealers, as you know from your looking at the site. The Super Carry is nice but I realize as you stated that it is new and a hot item. I will punch up all the Kimbers and will wind up with 20 or better pages of them I will digest a far amount of them till I find a good deal. Maybe out of all those pages I might find 2 or 3, then I may bid. I got fairly good deals on my Cougar 8000, wifey's Sig, my Desert Eagle and on ammo. but I rather deal with our partner if he can swing something. I'ld rather help his cause than a stranger if he is willing. LOL I appreciate your input as I stated before....I can use all the help I can get.

UF--I just saw that one yesterday and was shocked at the price. My first impression was that the price is a bit high but I know the Ultra CDP's are very popular so that might be a factor. It should be priced at just over $1,000. Did you notice that it's been there for a week and no one has bid?

The Patriarch is a sweet piece although it does not have the ambi-safety. It is really too refined to shoot. That would be my last choice unless it was a price that I cold not refuse. LOL I'm afraid it would turn into a safe queen.

Yes I did and I thought that the only reason it was still availible was because of the price.you got to watch who you buy with some of these guys are over the top with their prices. The CDP Ultra is averaging around $1195 on GB. This guys is a little cheaper. He sells tons of firearms from what I see. Still he's high on some models.

That's a very nice gun for some one but not me. I don't care for all the engraving on the slide or the front cocking serrations.

Being the trade that I am in and that I work on machines that make engraved stationary and business cards as well as some greeting cards I can appreciate the workmanship that goes into these peices although these are not done by hand anymore but by lasers. I would be afraid to nick it up, so it would wind up being a safe queen, although that would not be a bad thing as only 250 were made and it may go up in price by the time I turn 80 or so. LOL
