I saw your post in the DW customer service thread so I thought I'd address it here. The custom built 1911 you're asking about is from Fusion and it's so ironic that you would bring it up because as I type this it's on a plane and will be at my FFL dealer by 3:00PM tomorrow.
Bob Serva did send me a sneek peek pic of it so I'll try to post it up:

If you would give your FFL my number that I PM to you, he could just go ahead and forward it on down to me and UF & I will go out sometime over the weekend to sight it in and get it broken in good for you. I can return it to your FFL on Monday and when you get it, it will be sighted in at 50 yards, cleaned and broken in and ready for you to go shoot!
Oh, bu the way, UF & I do this service at no charge for our best customers only!!!! Noo need to respond, just take the number I give you in the PM and give it to your FFL and he knows what to do with it!!!! LMAOPMP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok-i fixed the problem and now you can see the pictures. For now it's all I've got but it will be here tomorrow so I'll give you guys the scoop on the guns spec's, more pics by me and my impressions after it's virginity is stripped out at the range. Not really because they do test firing and sighting in of the sights at the shop but it'll be the first time for me.
This is the big one for me, I ordered it on Dec.7,2009 so it took 38 weeks to finish her up. BTW: there are no safe queens at my house, they're guns that are built to be used, not a commodity to be traded like rice & beans on Wall Street, ya' know what I mean? I can't imagine owning this or any other gun and not know how the trigger feels. bounce Twisted Evil affraid Very Happy Laughing

That is a sweet piece. good luck with it and safe shooting. Someday I'll have one. I'll have to save a bunch for something like that. Something like that HAS to run like a Swiss watch movement.

OK seriously. That is one of the prettiest pistols I have ever seen. Knowing the platinum penny he paid, and to look at those pictures at how beautiful it is, there is no way I would be able to shoot it. But thats me. I would put that gun up as a monument to the genius of John Browning. Behind inches of bullet proof glass, in a case that would take a rocket launcher to get in to.

I won't try to kid you, I have thought about doing what you suggest but for some reason I can't convince myself to do it. Who knows? Maybe after I fondle it for awhile I won't be able to shoot her.
Yesterday I ordered a set of Black Gabon Ebony grips from Sarge, I think they'll look outstanding!

No problem but they probably won't show until the end of next week at best.

It is gorgeous, all the more reason to shoot it. With the amount of hand fitting this little gem has recieved, how can you not savor every pull of that soft like butter trigger?
