PostSubject: My new CC   Wed Aug 18, 2010 3:12 pm

Hi guys, I'm back from tending to the 93 year old mother in law and during the last two weeks I've been on the hunt to replace my Glock 19 with a new CC gun.
I found her and I have to say that our friend AO had a big influence on my decision to go with a 3" barrel because he has had such a good experience with his Kimber Ultra. Here's some pics, enjoy. The gun performed without a hick up on it's first range trip, the Kimber mag held the slide back after the firing of the third round on two tries with it. It's a blued mag with an aluminum follower and flat bottom. I ordered a conversion kit from Tripp today to save the mag and I also bought four Wilson mags for it. I'm using a Milt Sparks VMII to CC.

These are the original grips but......

.....I added Crimson Trace laser grips.

This gun feels so right in my hand I can't believe it and, it's accurate.

Real nice piece VV, nice to see a ambi-safety on it. Good luck with it. Hope your mother-in-law is doing well. 93 is an amazing age to be.

Thanks UF. In order to install the CT laser grips I had to chase down a bobbed RH thumb safety so it wouldn't interfere with the laser line of sight, same with the slide stop.

Well thats the cost of the Crimson Trace, good thing you're right handed. It is a nice looking gun. I looked at them, a little too pricy right now for me. 45 acp at close range...dynomite!!!

I like mine! I also like the CR grips. Never thought I would care anything about them but after having them I do. Kinda cool looking over there and a little red dot lighting up the night! I sure don't want it lighting me up!!!!!!!!

Little red dots tend to make me real nervous.

That is a really nice pistol you got there. I like it both ways, original grips and CTs.
Hope your mother in law continues to do well, and best wishes to all who are caring for her.
