PostSubject: News about my Glock   Sun Aug 01, 2010 1:31 pm

I sold my Glock 19C today along with a MS VMII holster and 1,000 rounds for $900. I'm not sure if it was a good deal or not but I've been looking around and selling Glocks doesn't seem to be an easy thing to do these days. All I know is that I got tired of looking at that UGLY block of black plastic so it had to go and now I've got funds for a new ? I'm not sure what to replace it with but it for sure won't be a 9MM because I've got no ammo!!

Ain't no plastic in a Kimber! I sure like mine and it is a 45ACP. Ultra II Covert in a compact frame. I never liked 45's until I got hold of this one and I love it. I can actually hit the target!! Now that's progress!!! LMAO!!!

A nice Sig my do the trick for ya. What do you care to shoot? 45? 357mag? 357 Sig? All are fun to shoot and are proficient in take downs. Wheelgun or semi? I'm rambleing. There is so much to choose from, I worked the internet, auctions the 5 gunshops with in 50 miles of where I live. Looked at 1911's, wheelguns, these new fangled half plastic spaceguns. It was giving me a headache. So I spied a Desert Eagle in 357 mag used. It will be a project piece. I'll brake it down and replace whats worn, punch some paper for awhile then I'm going to practice Ceracoating on it. Just to be different. I like the 357's. When I go to the range it definetly makes noise. Love the recoil.

AO--I've seen the pics you posted of your Kimber Ultra Covert and it's a great lookin' gun. I've got confidence in Kimber because I've got the Pro Crimson Carry model and it works flawlessly. I am seriously considering the Ultra but I'm also considering sending my Pro out to be Bobtailed like the Kimber Super Carry but I don't know if a gunsmith can rework the C.T. laser sights. Maybe I'll have to send them to a grip maker for rework, just thinkin'.

Uncle Frank--I really like the .45 I just know it's right for me and I'm pretty much all semi auto. Unfortunately I'm one of those guys who really doesn't know much about taking on project guns, yet.

Dont get me wrong, I love my 1911's too, I shoot them the best out of all my range guns. There is nothing better feeling in my hand than a 1911. Just wanted to get this conversation going. I've watched your post for a couple of days, and wanted to kick start it. AO beat me by 13 minutes. Way to go AO.
