I recently bought a pair of these grips only, they are plastic, too bad. I like the wood much better. I could adjust it to fit my hand perfectly.[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

They almost look like it would make it harder to shoot with those. What does it look like when you are actually holding the pistol?

It's really OK, on the left side your thumb is just sitting on top of it and on the right side your hand just fits into it, almost like a glove. They just aren't as awkard as they look in the picture.
These aren't something you leave on the gun, unless you have a special target shooting gun with a stand and everything.
I've had them on my Kimber but I haven't taken them to the range yet. I'm kinda concerned that the guys there might start lookin' funny at me, ya' know?

I can see how they would work but I prefer the wrap around rubber grips.
Kinda like these [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Para Ordnance 1911, hi capacity 14 rounds.

For those who like 1911 and 9mm. (I'm sure some one has posted this on the forum already but it is always worth the mention.

9mm 1911 holding 18+1 rounds. 9mm fans have got to love this one.

Is this a steel gun? If so it must weigh a boat load when it's got 19 rounds of 9mm ready to go.
It's a great looking gun, how about performance?

Yep. All steel gun. And it probably does weigh a bit with a full mag. But I bet all that weight would make it a great range or competition pistol. I have wanted one of these for a long time. But I am having a hard time coming up with the 800+ dollars for it. I get 4 or 500 saved and find another that I want and I'm broke again.

Just like the SW99. It does not suit VVs eye, but as they say beauty is in the eye of the beholder. And I really like the way the SW99 looks.
On the flip side. VV really likes the nostalgic look of the Walther PPK (I'm pretty sure it was VV any way). The old James Bond 380 pistol. While I like James Bond movies I have never been a fan of the way the PPK looks.
Fine gun I'm sure just not a pretty one to me. My eye versus his. Salute

Centinul,[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Is this what you're talking about? You're right, I really like the "cool" factor with 007 and, classic things are classic for a reason: they withstand the test of time. Wether it's cars or clothing or guns, it doesn't matter to me. The classic look is for me.

BTW, I've got the CT laser grips on her in this pic but, I'm waiting for a set of wood grips to show up. I'll take another pic when they arrive and share it with you.

Nice.
Do you have a picture of the wood grips to give us an idea of what to expect?

Here they are and as soon as I install them I'll post a pic.[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

I don't know what I'm doing wrong here but the pic won't post. It's coming from an email the guy sent and I clicked "copy image location" and pasted it under "image" here but, no go. Can you fix it? I'll try once more before I give up on it.[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.][url][/url][You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Looks like the picture is coming through fine. Nice scales on the grips.
as for pictures from emails. I have never been able to copy location from them and it come out right.
I always have to download the pictures to my pc and then upload them to a sight and then copy location.
Real pain in the backside. So I just don't do it any more.

Can't wait to see them on the Walther.

BTW--about two weeks ago I saw a pair of PPK/S grips, they were wood, and they had the Nazi swastika on them. Problem was the guy wanted $150, I think, for them.[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Looks like they may have been a bit of history. Might have been worth the price.
