OK Governor Mary Fallon signed legislation yesterday that will make open carry legal in OK! I cannot quote exactly the terms and conditions but this is what I understand at the moment;

1. It goes into effect Nov 1, 2012
2. It is only legal for residents of the State of Oklahoma

There will be clarification down the road to define whether they will honor reciprocity to out of state residents for open carry or not and I will try to keep up with it and post for everyone to know. As it stands now and from my knowledge so far, state residents only and effective Nov 1, 2012.

WAY TO GO OKLAHOMA!!!

Little more info. Must be OK resident with OK concealed carry license. If you are on your own property do not need any kind of permit to open carry! Privilege not extended to anyone that is not a resident with OK concealed carry license! That is all I have found out so far! More later!!!

Have not heard anything for up there but there are sure a lot of other states that are getting on the bandwagon with this open carry!! I guess it is a good thing but I carry open when I am on my property now. I cannot imagine carrying open if I go into town or to the grocery store or to Wally World! I guess if there are those who want to more power to them!! JMHO!!

Some what but an old friend that is my personal general practitioner continues to tell me that we all make choices. Some are better than others but all are choices. Our ultimate goal is to make more wiser and beneficial choices than not and only we can make tjhose decisions and then rank them! He is a pretty smart fellow and is just a tad bit younger than me, by about five months!!! Very Happy

He sounds very wise. If we keep going down this same road we are on now, with the demoncraps driving, we will not have choices.

Have known him for many years and he is just about the only one I listen to for personal advice! Reserved but very willing to share knowledge and info if asked. No personal agenda other than to help and advise! Really do enjoy the friendship and insight! Shame we do not have more like him around! World would be a much better place! JMHO!!

One of these days when he decides to slow down, hope to strike up the friendship over some spent shells on a range and spend a little more time with him. Great guy and I really enjoy him!
