PostSubject: Ammo sale at Bass Pro Shops   Wed May 12, 2010 8:26 pm

In yesterdays mail I got a flyer from Bass Pro Shops saying that they're having a big sale on some new ammo this week end in case any body is looking for ammo.
The ammo is supposedly something new from Winchester designated as "SXZ". They said it's the same as the WWB we all know about except that it has a "Lubalox" coating to create a cleaner shooting round. It comes in FMJ & JHP versions of 9mm, 40SW & 45 ACP.
Pricing starts @ $14.99 which I would assume is for the 9mm FMJ version.
If you haven't had any luck finding ammo lately you might want to check it out.
They also have that Ruger LCP on sale for $349.00

15.00 a box for WWB is hi. So Winchester is only shooting themselves in the foot pricing their comparable ammo at 15.00 a box.

PB,
You're correct but I can't figure out what their pricing strategies are. At WalMart last week I picked up Federal 9mm FMJ for $9.99 for a box of 50.

Thats what it is here, when you can find it. Seems as soon as WM gets Federal in it is gone.
Like there are a bunch of gun shooting vultures jst waiting to swoop in and grab it.
I'd like to know where them vultures are, I'd like to join them, they get all the ammo at a good price. Very Happy

The WM here had a 6 box limit so people were buying 6, taking it to the car, coming back in and buying 6 more.

That would only work here if you caught a different sales clerk while the one who sold you your ammo earlier was on brake or something.
Here they do it 6 box limit per day. That of course is not how it is written on the paper that they have up in the store, but if you try to leave and then come back later, the sales clerk will not sell six more or at least they wouldn't to me. And I was in several hours apart.
