Homeowner Kills Teen Burglary Suspect

DALLAS - A homeowner shot and killed a burglary suspect Monday morning in the southeast Dallas neighborhood of Pleasant Grove and two more suspects were in custody.
The shooting happened at about 11 a.m. in the 7300 block of Vallejo Drive, near Jim Miller and Bruton roads.
According to police, three youngsters rang the doorbell and then ran to the back of the home, prompting the homeowner to call 911.
The trio then allegedly kicked in the back door and entered the home, where the unidentified resident opened fire, killing 14-year-old Luis Avila.
Two other 13 and 14-year-old suspects fled the scene and were later arrested. They face burglary charges, police said.
Neighbors said they saw a couple of kids who looked like they were up to no good running from the house. They also heard five gunshots, a pause and then three more shots.
"This is a calm neighborhood. This is like the first time something like this has ever happened," said Sarah Trevino. "I was surprised but I mean it was self defense. I understand why he would do that. I mean, I would have probably done the same thing too."
Avila and at least one other suspect reportedly attend John B. Hood Middle School. The school sent a letter home Monday afternoon letting parents know a student had died.

You have to rub it in, dont you. That sure was a lot of shots though, if that happened where I live the old timer would have been brought up on murder charges.

There has been some rumblings by a black legislator out of Dallas to make a few changes to the "castle law" as it is written in TX to make sure there is justification for deadly force if it is used. Don't know for sure but I do not think it will get out of committee! Just too much in strength of numbers in TX to mess with the self defense laws as they asre written right now!! JMHO!! We shsll see as Royce West is a long time legislator and knows the ropes. He may be settinmg himself up for a big time fall also!!!

They are starting crap all over the last 2 days. Bloombag called out the NRA today on the right to carry law. Stating why a "civilized" society could have guns in the hands of citizens. It's starting to hit the fan and it wont stop.

They need to be eliminated!!! Who the hell do they think they are to tell us what we can and cant do? I tired of having politicians try to rule over us.

Pretty simple! Because it is a gov of the people, by the people and for the people. Not a self serving gov and certainly not to take over our lives and take away our freedoms!! TWIT!!!
