PostSubject: God Bless America, and this old Vet.   Fri May 07, 2010 1:50 pm

I’m
giving this rather wide dissemination as I believe this gentleman’s
background gives him the right, more than most, to express his feelings
toward the country’s present situation.

If anyone
disagrees or is upset by this old sailor’s opinions, don’t complain to
me
.

95 year old hero!

Letter To Obama
at White House, Sent from 95 year Old Pearl Harbor Survivor !!
Fantastic!!

WW II Battleship sailor
tells Obama to shape up or ship out !

This venerable and much honored WW II vet is well known in Hawaii for his seventy-plus years of service to patriotic organizations and causes all over the country. A humble man without a political bone in his body, he has never spoken out before about a government official, until now. He dictated this letter to a friend, signed it and mailed it to the president.

Quote :
Dear President Obama,

My name is Harold Estes, approaching 95 on December 13 of this year. People meeting me for the first time don't believe my age because I remain wrinkle free and pretty much mentally alert.

I enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1934 and served proudly before, during and after WW II retiring as a Master Chief Bos'n Mate. Now I live in a "rest home" located on the western end of Pearl Harbor , allowing me to keep alive the memories of 23 years of service to my country.

One of the benefits of my age, perhaps the only one, is to speak my mind, blunt and direct even to the head man.

So here goes.

I am amazed, angry and determined not to see my country die before I do, but you seem hell bent not to grant me that wish.

I can't figure out what country you are the president of.
You fly around the world telling our friends and enemies despicable lies like:

" We're no longer a Christian nation"

" America is arrogant" - (Your wife even
announced to the world," America is mean-spirited. "
Please tell her to try preaching
that nonsense to 23 generations of our war dead buried
all over the globe who
died for no other reason than to free a whole lot of strangers from tyranny and hopelessness.)

I'd say shame on the both of you, but I don't think you like America, nor do I see an ounce of gratefulness in anything you do, for the obvious gifts this country has given you. To be without shame or gratefulness is a dangerous thing for a man sitting in the White House.

After 9/11 you said," America hasn't lived up to her ideals."

Which ones did you mean? Was it the notion of personal liberty that 11,000
farmers and shopkeepers died for to win independence from the British? Or maybe the ideal that no man should be a slave to another man, that 500,000 men died for in the Civil War? I hope you didn't mean the ideal 470,000 fathers, brothers, husbands, and a lot of fellas I knew personally died for in WWII, because we felt real strongly about not letting any nation push us around, because we stand for freedom.

I don't think you mean the ideal that says equality is better than discrimination. You know the one that a whole lot of white people understood when they helped to get you elected.

Take a little advice from a very old geezer, young man.

Shape up and start acting like an American. If you don't, I'll do what I can to see you get shipped out of that fancy rental on Pennsylvania Avenue . You were elected to lead not
to bow, apologize and kiss the hands of murderers and corrupt leaders who still treat their people like slaves.

And just who do you think you are telling the American people not to jump to conclusions and condemn that Muslim major who killed 13 of his fellow soldiers and wounded dozens more. You mean you don't want us to do what you did when that white cop used force to subdue that black college professor in Massachusetts , who was putting up a fight? You don't mind offending the police calling them stupid but you don't want us to offend Muslim fanatics by calling them what they are, terrorists.

One more thing. I realize you never served in the military and never had to defend your country with your life, but you're the Commander-in-Chief now, son. Do your job.

When your battle-hardened field General asks you for 40,000 more troops to complete the mission, give them to him. But if you're not in this fight to win, then get out. The life of one American soldier is not worth the best political strategy you're thinking of.

You could be our greatest president because you face the greatest challenge ever presented to any president.

You're not going to restore American greatness by bringing back our bloated economy. That's not our greatest threat.
Losing the heart and soul of who we are as Americans is our big fight now.

And I sure as hell don't want to think my president is the enemy in this final battle...

Sincerely,
Harold B. Estes

Snopes confirms as true:

When a 95 year old hero
of the "the Greatest Generation" stands up and
speaks out like this, I think we owe it to him to send
his words to as many Americans as we can. Please pass it
on.

Harold B. Estes speaks for me and for many Veterans of all the wars we have fought and are fighting today. I hope that all of us will pick up his banner and vote out all these fools that disrespect our country.

Harold speaks for a great many citizens of this country, and with any luck a great many more will wake up and see the light at the end of this nations tunnel is rapidly being snuffed out by or own government, and then take action at the polls to get these corrupt slugs out of office.

At this point I think no politicians in DC would be better than what we have.

You are 100% correct, we have no need for professional politicians at all, what we do need is ordinary people with a lot of common sense, and they will speak their minds and do the right things for us, and not be worried what other countries think. If you just take a few steps back and look at what is going on it becomes very clear that these people behave as though they're back in high school.

VV I think you are being very generous with that description. I would say they are behaving much worse.

Hehehe, its fun having your own forum. You get to say things and let people say things that they just can't say on other forum. Within reason that is.
We still have the hosting sight to contend with. But I am willing to let a lot slide.

Centinul is pretty relaxed about things too but he might call some one on the carpet over something I might not. But so far we are both pretty much in agreement.

Thats what I'm hopping will happen in November, I just have a feeling the Liberal Jackals in DC are going to pull every dirty illegal trick they can to steel this election.
I believe our Country is in a world of hurt with the last group that was put in power.
The left called Bush Hitler and called his Presidency a regime, If that was the case, I'd like to know what they call all the illegal power grabs this bunch has done and the shadow government Obama has put in with all of his unelected un veted czars, People that even Congress has not approved.

Freedom,
Again we're on the same page here. George Bush was vilified by every Liberal news media in this country and in my opinion he was the solid rock we should expect from our "Commander".
He poked his head up during the battle and said we're not gonna take this any more. If 9/11 had occurred during BA"s reign he'd try to find a reason why it's our fault to begin with.
He doesn't get the fact that we're at war here 24/7, he acts like he's taking a stroll in the park. When you're at war you behave accordingly and forget about being "politically correct".

Oh VV you are correct BHO is a gutless wonder. Everything is our fault with him. Even if we were not involved in any way shape or form.
Plain and simple he hates the US and real Americans. Like you and the vet this article was about. Like all those who gave their lives while doing what our commander and chief ordered them to do.

You might not believe this but it's true, it really hurts me when he & others in positions of leadership discount the military and the vets that served. I get very emotional. I did what I did because I believe in this country and they just take for granted what they have. I went war like my country asked me to do and it changed my life forever. But don't get me wrong I'd do it again today if I could.
What's disappointing is that I'll always wonder what my life would have been like had I not been wounded.

I believe you. I see the emotion and gratitude in current military and in vets when I shake their hands and thank them for their service to our country.
Many of them were treated very poorly when they came back home by scum bags like Pelosi Reed and Obama.

It is such a shame that our service men and women get shit on by the media and our government.
We need a new president and congress, and then people need to stop watching, listening and reading liberal trash.
