PostSubject: TRP!!! Pleasant Surprise!   Thu Sep 15, 2011 6:04 pm

I am duly impressed! Darn little impresses me any more in teh firearms industry! I am not an authority but I have been around long enough that there are few things that really just knock my socks off, Let me share a couple of things with you about my range trip today that totally blew me away! I had the TRP form SA on order for a lot longer than I care to remember. It finally came in a month or so ago and I have been really busy and the darn weather would not cooperate so I put it in the safe and said later when it cools off!! SO, I had a couple of really hard weeks with much court time (more than I wanted) and I blocked out this morning over a week ago to go out and shoot this thing. Had it still been hot I would have gone to one of the indoor ranges and actually paid good money to shoot indoors or driven a half hour or so to a buddy's place where he just enclosed an indoor range in his airplane hanger!! It was nice out and I went to the outdoor range at another friend's place just about ten miles from my place. I pulled it out of the box and noticed that it was awfully stiff. Both mags were stiff and loaded very firm. If I had run more than a hundred rounds through it I would not have been able to hold a pen to write tomorrow!!! It has loosened up a little and I feel it will be very comfortanble to shoot within another 200 to 300 rounds. I love the looks of the Trijicon (sp?) sights! They are so cool looking and very easy to focus on! You youngun's that don't understand that will reach that point at some time in the future!! Trust me!! So it was a very easy task to aim and shoot a new handgun! It was more accurate tham I am. I am no great shot but that darn thing shoots better than I do! I thought my Kimber Covert CDP II was awesome but I have to tell you the TRP is right on the same level! JMHO!! Most accurate darn handgun I have ever pulled out of the box and shot! It is a very easy handgun to control and was a total pleasure to shoot. I will order a LULAC loader to make my mags easier to load and that will be the only problem I encountered completely solved! I am one happy camper and may start a new collecting adventure!! Fine pistol and I am very proud of SA with the quality and design of this particular addition to their lineup!! Don't ask for pictures as it is dirty and in the gunsafe already! I will take it out and clean it this weekend and maybe get one posted but it is the standard TRP model!! LMAO!!

Damn! What a link! I just happened to be on Cabela's sight looking at a couple of things and got the link from there. There are several brands out there and made for different calibers! Some will work with multiple cartridges but bottom line, they make it a lot easier to load a magazine!
