PostSubject: Who supports the 2nd Amendment   Tue Apr 20, 2010 11:10 am

In anticipation of upcoming elections I thought it would be very helpful if we, 2nd Amendment advocates, knew which members of Congress and the Senate were like minded in our thinking. Why don't we start a master list of all Congressmen & Senators and then determine which side of the line they fall on. I don't know about you guys but I want to know more about the individual beliefs of all candidates.
If we had a "Master List" it could be updated as needed and we wouldn't unknowlingly vote for someone who doesn't support our views.
I truly don't vote for any "R" or "D" based on their party affiliation, I want to vote for the "BEST candidate.
Anybody interested?

Freedom,
Well I thought it would be more of a collaborative effort with everyone chipping in on their Congressmen & Representatives. I, for example could do Michigan, and as new members arrive they could be assigned (did I say that!) or volunteer for their state.

I can go to Michigan's web site or the US Government's web site to determine the "who". their districts, party affiliation. Call or email their support staff, locally located and request the information.

i need to think about it some more but I just wondered if there was an interest.

It's a plan. I'm good for a state.

This information isn't as readily available as you might think. It seems that no Politician is eager to stand up & take ownership on this issue, imagine that!
Anyway, I'm still workin' on it. The NRA is next on my list to investigate.

Seems like there are a few web sights that have a lot of this info already put together.
I hear people talk about them but I can never seem to find them.

Freedom,
Same for me. You would think that in a statistically oriented society as ours that the list has to be somewhere.

I have a friend that lives in Jeff City that ran across one of the sight, I'll try to see if he can find it again, he said it had a list of all the bills that all the Senators or House members etc voted on and which way they voted.

Lists like this may be pulled these days to hide what the slime dogs in DC are doing, Lib Dems need to hide their actions if they hope to get reelected in November

Took some stuff out to my friend last weekend and he found the sight.

You have to look for some of the info, I have not had time to get on and look around as my mom was in the hospital over the weekend and I was there visiting.

This sight is a start to the goal VV was talking about. Should make it easier for us to make that list if we are still going to do that.

Sorry to hear about your Mother, we all will have her in our prayers and I hope she's back home very soon.
I haven't had time yet to look at any of the info your friend was able to discover but first thing tomorrow I'll get at it. I'm running out the door now to catch my Grand sons La Cross game.

She is going through Physical Therapy at this point. She is in a lot of pain, we don't know how this is going to work out since she is 83, but we are keeping our fingers crossed and praying on it. Your well wishes are greatly appreciated.

I will also try to look up some things when I get time. Just like a vacation. You have to go back to work to take a vacation from the vacation. 3 days out and a total of 10 hours of sleep.

Going to be doing some sleeping after work to catch up.
