PostSubject: Extremly confused citizen   Sun Mar 07, 2010 12:48 pm

Personally, I just don't know how I/we can ingest and understand the impact on me as a citizen all the goings on in DC. What I really want to know is what they aren't telling us. What we see is that their own peers are resigning due to frustration they deal with on a daily basis. I'm not a political expert but I am a citizen that went to Vietnam and fought for my country and, as a result, the last 41 years of my life have been dictated to me by my injuries. Why can't these representatives of the people be accountable to us? I'm sick and tired of hearing about the outragious behavior of these people such as Mark Sanford. I don't give a s**t about his political alignments, but how about as a person? He found his "soul mate" in South America? Really? What about your family? Give me a break, please. When it's not him it's somebody else, such as Rangle who asked for a time out so he could figure out what/who he can use to avoid being held accountable for all his outrageous behaviour. Again & again these people behave out of the boundaries that we all live with every day. I live in Michigan and I'm embarresed by the fact that the person to replace Rangle is Sanford Levin because in today's paper they are speculating how Levin can influence the system to bring more money to Michigan. Can you believe it? It's so blatant and so wrong! If you recall Detroit's previous Mayor had himself a great time on our dime. He was convicted of many crimes, lost his ability to practice law, bankrupted the city, and on & on. This guy was known as "THE HIP HOP MAYOR". Unbelievable. And, at the end of the day, it all comes back to us for not being attentive enough to their actions and nipping it in the bud. It's US that have to send people there that aren't morally deficient/corrupt, I've never trusted any political figure because they lie during the course of their campaigns and we, as a whole, just eat it up. If you tell me what I want to hear and see and I'll vote for you, you have a nice smile and tan so you must be the GOD send we've been looking for. How can we be so negligent as to vote for these people with out having any idea who/what they are? Can't we learn from previous experiences?

Here's a great one: John Edwards, no need to say anything more.

My recommendation? Forget political associations and look at the person. Does he/she have a background that aligns with your own morals? For example, I would never consider voting for anyone that would entertain the concept of abortion. That is one of my core values but do we ever get to inquire about these basic mandates? No. Because we have to listen to Barbara Walters ask the questions that align with the base concerns of network television & how do they use that info to improve their ratings, and push their agenda. What a silly thing to do. Ask yourself this, why would you care about making your decisions with the info provided from a biased source?

Sorry for the rant but I'm just sick and tired of hearing the same thing day after day. Who or what will it be tomorrow? You know it's coming. Do yourself and your country a favor, be accountable for what's going on with the perverts that are running/ruining your day, DUE DILIGENCE people. Know it, love it, use it.

The Country made a big mistake voting this guy in. With the liberal infestation among the people and in washington it is going to be a long walk back to doing things the right way here in the US.
I think all the real Americans feel the same way you do VietVet68. I know, and this may sound bad, but to me, people that agree with what Obama is doing and like the idea of the US moving in his socialist direction are not true Americans.

And a special thanks to VietVet68 and Cuate for your service to the Country. God Bless you.
And God bless ALL of our Armed Service Personnel, where ever you may be stationed right now.

Centinul,
Thank you for noting our service to our country with the "Honor Status", it's much appreciated.
Next, I have to admit that I was a bit hesitant to make my original post because I wasn't sure how others would react, but I'm so happy to see others feel the same as I do. We have to learn from their past behavior and foresee their future behavior and then act accordingly.
Thanks again,
Jack

VietVet68. Your very welcome.

Just keep speaking your mind. Freedom sent me a link to your post at the other forum, I believe the one where he sent you the invitation to our forum. He as well as I liked your strait forward speak. Cuate was invited here for the same reason.

We agreed that so many of the forums though they may be geared to the 2nd Amendment and it's protection as well as the Constitution are painfully PC when it comes to speaking ones mind on political issues. This has always bothered me. Since politicians are so he11 bent on removing the 2nd Amendment as well as the Constitution and our freedoms from this Country. Gun issues become and are political issues.

Since neither of us like political correctness, and feel it is a cancer in our country, anyone who feels the same way we and you do is welcome here. And there are reminders here and there in the forum that political incorrectness is here and encouraged, so though I want as many people to come here and feel comfortable they will have to accept the PI nature of the forum.

Just remember. Freedom and I are the final say on this forum and if any one disagrees with your frame of mind, they can just read another thread (because we you, me and Freedom tend to agree on the state of things.) or go start another one on a subject they are comfortable with.

Again, keep on keepin on.
See you later.

What a great forum this is, I love it. Thanks for your encouraging words, and, you are correct, I was invited from another forum by Freedom and I'm so glad I accepted. You guys are doing a great job so far, I wish you much good luck!
