PostSubject: Why there are no jobs   Fri Feb 26, 2010 7:31 am

John Smith started the day early having set his alarm
clock (MADE IN JAPAN ) for 6 am.

While his coffeepot (MADE IN CHINA) was perking, he shaved with his electric razor (MADE IN HONG KONG ).

He put on a dress shirt (MADE IN SRI LANKA ), designer jeans (MADE IN SINGAPORE ) and tennis shoes (MADE IN KOREA )

After cooking his breakfast in his new electric skillet (MADE IN INDIA ), he sat down with his calculator (MADE IN MEXICO )
to see how much he could spend today. After setting his watch (MADE IN TAIWAN ) to the radio (MADE IN INDIA ) he got in his
car (MADE IN GERMANY ) filled it with GAS (from Saudi Arabia ) and continued his search for a good paying AMERICAN JOB.

At the end of yet another discouraging and fruitless day checking his Computer (Made In Malaysia ), Joe decided to relax for a while.

He put on his sandals (MADE IN BRAZIL ) poured himself a glass of wine (MADE IN FRANCE ) and turned on his TV (MADE IN INDONESIA ),
and then wondered why he can't find a good paying job in AMERICA

You really want a bitch about American's losing work, well here's one for you.

Do you like your bread, coffee cakes, pies, and cookies? Well gather round kiddies, got something to tell ya! Sara Lee has fired/laid off almost all of it's clerical and accounting departments in the US, several hundred here in the St. Louis region alone. Who you ask is doing this work now? Phillipino's now have the work that Americans once did.
IBM, the once great American company, has opened up a massive office complex in the Philippines and hired Philippinos to work for them. What work do they do? They do all of the work Americans once did in American based offices. IBM contracts the work from American companies and hires Philippinos to do the work. The Philippinos make roughly a wage equal to $6 to $8 a day, 10 hour days, 6 days a week, no retirement, no medical insurance, AND they work their cans off to keep the jobs. I have to wonder as these companies get rid of all of the American workers, who do they think is going to be able to afford to purchase their products when no one is working?
Sara Lee is not the only company doing this. The other two major baking companies are doing the same thing. Do you like to gamble at the casinos? Harrah's has hired IBM to process all of its accounting and laid of almost all of it's American staffing. Other casino companies are doing the same thing. Maybe we should start making an impression on these companies by not buying or using their products.

OK Folks!

Here are some of the companies that have shipped their accounting work to IBM,s Office complex in the Philippines. The work that Americans once did for these companies is now being done by Philipinos, at less than one quarter the wages of Americans.

Sara Lee, Nabisco, Frito Lay, Harrahs, and Coors, have all abandoned American office workers for lower wage workers overseas.
